January 29th, 8:15am-3:00pm
Registration will close on January 21st at 4pm or when no seats remain
Each year we'll do our best to give you all the information you'll need to get started in beekeeping.
We have a total of 60 seats for this year's workshop. The price is $85 for the first seat which includes a year membership in LCBS for the entire household. Each additional seat from the same household is then $75. These are our pre-registration prices. Registering is required and paying ahead allows us to plan for books, materials, door prizes, lunch, etc. Therefore, paying at the door incurs an additional $10 charge and will only be possible if seats are still available which is highly unlikely.
Doors will open at 7:30am to arrive and sign-in.
The workshop will follow any mandated COVID practices in place at the time the workshop is held including but not limited to wearing a mask if that mandate is in place on the date of the workshop. Please do not register if this would be unacceptable to you.
0 seats remain.
All of our seats have now been fully reserved, even the few extra we were able to add. If you weren't able to get a seat, please send an email to
and let us know. We'll add your name to a list that we may contact with some information at a later date in the coming weeks.
Also, please consider becoming a member. It's only $10 for your entire household for the year and the signup is all online here: New Member Signup. In the summer, we meet at the PSU research farm in Manheim and actually open hives of bees. This is a great chance to be up close to open hives and ask questions without even needing bees of your own...without a doubt worth the $10. Thanks and we hope to see you at a meeting this spring.
